My mind is blank the past few days. I'm not sure why. Maybe I'm just tired.. and I am tired but really tired. I think i've been napping too much. Since Ella has been taking naps in her crib and they last for 1 -1.5 hours so I've been resting too. I don't know though.. I think the real reason my mind has been blank is because it's almost November and boy is it going to be busy.......
Heres a mini schedule of my next 30ish days...
Today: Halloween! Ellas first so dressing up and family is coming over
Tomorrow: work and nails
Friday: move my sister to out of town and rehearsal dinner
Saturday: wedding all day :)
Nov. 7-25: boss gone so I am here most of the day m-f :(
Nov. 10: grandma is here!
Nov. 11: 2 nephews getting baptized
Nov. 12: grandma appt in Rochester.. gone all day
Nov. 17-18: in kc visiting friends.. first time without ella :/
Nov. 22: Tday!
Nov. 29: Ella turns 1!!!
Dec. 1: Ella party!
After that it probably will not die down due to Christmas being right around the corner.. oh my! When I look at it in this way.. it doesn't look like much.. but I'll be working about 30hours a week.. compared to my normal 15-20.. so I won't have as much time with my ella as normal. I'll get over it though. And I'm sure it'll fly by!
Speaking of flying by.. I cannot believe ella is 11 months! I don't know where the time went! It amazes me.. I remember thinking this when I was pregnant and perhaps since then as well.. but some days just seem to draaaaagg.. whether I'm with ella or not.. but then all of a sudden a whole week, month, and now almost year has gone by! I cannot believe it!!
So with all this stuff coming up.. I can't think about anything else... and sometimes thinking about it all gives me a headache (so to speak).. therefore my mind goes blank.
All I know at this moment is I cannot wait to see my Ella and put her in her adorable costume! Pictures to come!
Oh and I get my new phone today!!!! WOOHOO! I'll have to post a picture of what I've put up with for the past month..

sweet babe is almost 11months!
My Ella My Ella
Recently I have had this feeling in me that makes it hard to be away from you. It feels as if something bad will happen to you if I'm not right there protecting you. It scares me and makes me angry at the same time. I just want to go sleep next to your crib again :) or not go to sleep at all.
I don't know if its due to Halloween or your aunt telling me these horrible news stories.. but it has gotten to me bad! I'm constantly checking on you and hoping you are alive, unhurt, breathing normally, and sleeping.. if you are awake I need to keep you in my vision, even if daddy or papa are right there also....
I'm hoping this will pass... but honestly I don't care. There is so much evil in the world and who knows how close to home it is.. but if I have to watch you to keep you safe or at least until this feeling goes away.. then so be it.
I know I know.. I sound crazy.. but if I were to describe my dreams recently.. I think it would terrify anyone! Especially since you are in them!
Moving on..........
I am loving watching you grow my baby girl. It is amazing watching you while you think about things. How something works or how to grab something and still stand or when you think about walking and then decide its faster to crawl..... you just get this look on your face that I wish I could capture on film... oh man have I tried but you always look away! It just makes my day to see you smile or laugh really hard! Daddy can get you to laugh like that. He can also get you to 'brush' your hair... just say 'so pretty' and put a brush in your hand and off you go brushing the side/back of your head. Makes me think of your hair.... oh my goodness Ella Grace you are going to have the most beautiful hair!! It is such a pretty light to medium brown hair with curls!! It's going to be curly! I will love it! You will hate it most likely.. just like me.. but then again maybe you won't. You will have curly hair right away.. rather than like your momma. Mommy's hair turned curly in 8th-10th grade.. dang puberty! That's a whole other story though.. and we are not going there anytime soon!
You took your first step in Texas.. that was fun because only mommy was there to see it! It made me feel special! You took your first REAL steps about 2 weeks ago.. again as soon as I turn the video camera on you drop to your knees... but every day you take more and more steps.. your 'high score' is 8 steps in a row! But you do so many steps throughout the day.. just not all at one time. We all know you can do it.. but you would just rather crawl and that's ok with me. I'll just be waiting, and I'm sure you'll start walking just as soon as you realize you can run.. walking will probably be bypassed.
We have a new nickname for you and please don't take offense! You are our little terrorist! Why do you say? Well just look at the house! Your room has books and new diapers ALL over it! The bathroom has your bath toys ALL over it! The living/dining room has your toys, books, stuffed animals, movies.. ALL over it! The kitchen even has packaged food (specifically string cheese), pans, spoons, and your cups ALL over it! We can't leave a laundry basket around you.. no matter it being clean, dirty, folded, not folded.. if you see it.. you just HAVE to go and pull EVERYTHING out of it. Seriously though... it is so fun to watch. I may follow you around most the day picking up things you left and sometimes I leave it all there to show daddy 'what you did today' haha
Speaking of daddy.. he is over the moon with you. You should see the love in his eyes whenever your name is even mentioned. And the fact that you craw/walk/bounce to him pretty much whenever he gets home makes his work day worth it. Thank you Ella for finally letting daddy in our little circle.
You had two new things in the past week.. you got to wear your new pink coat that papa got you in Arizona and you got to pick out your pumpkin with papa!
So my Ella my Ella... until next time... I'll be thinking of you and checking on you soon!

art work diy :)
I made picture frames! It was easy! Its similar to another project I did once..
you need: wooden frames, white paint (only if you'll be able to see through the material), and any material you can wrap around the frame.. I used patterned duck tape, purple ribbon, pink lace ribbon, multicolored yard, furry yarn, and decorative marbles (glue if you use marbles)
Don't forget some art work.. this is some of mine from college.. not good but I plan to put Ella's in it when I have some!
Three of the frames done! You just wrap and wrap and wrap! The duct tape was actually the hardest to do.. I'm surprised by this!

backward or forward facing
Ella is coming up on her 1st birthday.. ummm wow... that is just insane. With this milestone comes a big decision, well to me it is a big decision..........
Should I keep the car seat facing backward or turn it forward???
The Law : children must be in backward facing car sears until they are 20lbs or over AND 1 year old...
Ella is almost 22lbs so we are good there and as of Nov. 29 she will be 1... so legally I can change it.
AAP and NHTSA : both state that children should stay backward facing until 2 years old.. not a law but a recommendation...
ugh! What to do. I keep going back and forth....... Ella would LOVE to face forward and the car seat would be much easier to switch vehicles.. well to attach it that is... but what if something happens and she gets hurt and she wouldn't have if she wasn't facing forward.
This is just too confusing and I don't like it! My whole family and my husbands think it would be fine to change it and part of me does too. But I want to make sure she is as safe as I can get her.. at least in the car.
My thought at the moment is to leave her car seat facing backward while it is in my car. We are already planning to buy a 2nd car seat as a spare/emergency use.. so it wouldn't stay in one particular vehicle. So put that one forward when needed.
Since I drive her 95% of the time then she would be backward facing most of the time.. but then when she does go in a different vehicle then will she be angry that I won't let her sit that way in my car?
ooh this just sounds more confusing as I type it.. well hopefully this makes sense to those who read it.. if it doesn't then you have a well earned insight to how my head thinks.......

I'm reading this book because I have a big pile of books to read. It was on top. I bought it several years ago at b&n and never got around to reading it...
I'm maybe a quarter the way through and its different. I mean its a classic.. written in a different time/country so its kinda a difficult read for me, especially since its written how people talk.. so sometimes it takes me a couple tries before I realize what the sentence is. I tend to read books fast so I skim parts and you can't do that with this because of the way its written. I like to shake it up a bit and read things like this. I figure it'll help with a lot of things? Anyway.. check it out if you are looking for something older and a bit challenging..

Crazy for missing this?
I miss being pregnant.
I know I know some people will think I'm crazy, but I had an awesome pregnancy and I enjoyed it. I mean I enjoyed knowing that a life was growing in me. At the time, I was like ugh I don't enjoy this but looking back I did!
Now, this doesn't mean I want to have another baby.. meaning I miss being pregnant, but I don't want to be pregnant at this moment.
Something hit me last night, some errant thought, and I realized I missed it.
I miss feeling kicks and movements...
I miss hearing the heartbeat...
I miss seeing ultrasounds...
I just felt like sharing this.
Maybe Ella will have a sibling some day..
but that day will not be for at least a few years!
It was Thanksgiving in these two pictures..
I was 39 weeks and 3 days..
I had Ella the following Tuesday evening :)

My List
Apparently things are wanting to happen all at once in our lives. We are in need of some things and yet cannot purchase everything at one time... hmmm wishing I was a millionaire! I thought I'd share some of the things we saving for and of course some that we don't need to save for but I just don't want to do it! I don't like spending money on some things.. yet in the long run it is better to pay for the upkeep rather than have to buy brand new.

wow
I know I've been on vacation and what not.. but I logged on today and saw that my last post was published on Sept. 21!!! That's like almost 20 days... wth happened! Well first off.. I apologize! My life had apparently gotten way behind me or ahead of me.. not sure which would best describe it. I'll think on this and perhaps get back to you. Anyway.. let me fill you in on some occurrences in my lovely little world!
Allll the way back to September 21 my last post which was a Friday according to my handwritten calendar.. I don't normally post on a weekend due to it being filled with a crazily active 10month old during the day and my wonderful husband in the evening so thats normal...
The next week I did work most the week so I'm sure I thought I'd have ample time to be on here but my boss was gone so I was here longer than normal each day AND we have our biggest fundraiser ALL of October so I've been waaaaayy tied down dealing with the little details on non-profit fundraising! I actually do love this part but it can be tedious.
That Thursday, the 28th, I tried to take a nap.. like a major nap during the day since we left that night to drive to Texas... so I had approximately 5 hours to sleep! Halleluiah that sounds amazing! That day though.. my body decided that after 1.5 hours it was done.. and laying down for 1hour trying to fall back asleep is just no fun! So I finalized all packing, dogs, people, house, snacks, and took a shower... we left that night ON TIME!!!!! 7pm we were out the door... Ella fell asleep at around 8ish and woke up briefly around 2am when we stopped for gas and accidentally left the door open so when the gas pump turned off it woke her up.. ya know that loud noise when it 'clicks' off? clicks is much to quiet of a word but its what it does... so then we had to get a new bottle made (daddy was in the back and I was driving) and low and behold.. I flippin' get pulled over on the Kansas Turnpike... seriously?? I got a warning! I mean come on.. I shouldn't have gotten pulled over in the first place.. I was only going 8mph over. So the lovely blue red white flashing lights in my backseat with a backward facing baby in her carseat did not help put her back to sleep. Luckily she dozed on her own and slept most of the rest of the way.
In Texas at 8:05am! Went to our nephew's speech who was running for class president of 4th and 5th grade. He didn't win but man was he good! I don't recall what we really did that day.. we did go eat at Rudy's BBQ.. delicious.
Saturday.. it rained ALL day.. literally for like 20hours straight... we did nothing
Sunday.. went to Target? my first little break from miss Ella.. who by the way now has a cough and runny nose.
Monday.. went to the mall which is amazing. We got Ella a little Mickey Mouse cell phone from the Disney Store. She loves it. Unfortunately we also noticed Ella's mouth looking a little white so we took her to an urgent care and she has thrush.... but her lungs sound clear! Poor baby... meds 4times a day. Turns out she LOVES the meds.. I mean LOVES. At night Michael, his brother, father, and 2 nephews went to the Bears vs. Cowboys game and had side line passes too! They had a blast.
Tuesday.. umm... not sure? Oh celebrated a bday at a neat place that has bowling/games. We originally were going to leave tonight, but decided to stay in order to celebrate!
Wednesday.. myself, my mother in law, and my sister in law all went and had a mani/pedi for $30. it was fun and relaxing.. this was my second little break from Ella... when we got back we basically left. So we left at 5:45pm and got home at 6:45am! Got a little lost a couple times for some reason.... don't ask.. but still made it in 13hours.
Thursday.. home! dogs were a mess. Took Ella to our doctor due to her cough getting worse and guess what!! she has bronchitis :( more meds...
Saturday.. went to a good friends baby shower! She is due in like 2ish weeks! Ordered my new phone. Yes.. I'm getting the new iphone.. idk why but I am....... so less than 4 weeks til I can get rid of this dang thing!!
Sunday.. stayed home with Ella ALLL day and we had a pj day. it was nice :)
Today! Finally... phew I'm tired again from everything .. even though we didn't do much. But if you've ever had a sick child.. then you know how exhausting it can be especially when it gets passed to you!
Oh one more thing... before we left for Texas all my trees were green and full and I came back and they were all empty... the leaves changed colors and dropped in one week.. well my grass now looks pretty.... love fall though!
