Well I finished Dracula and loved it and am now onto this interesting little find from halfpricebooks :)
Title: What Your Stuff Says About You: Snoop
Author: Sam Gosling
Genre: ??
I keep coming back to this book. I read a few chapters and then I set it down for a few months... not sure why. It is interesting to me. It kind of explains to you how you can learn about people just from looking at their areas of living/working... such as a bathroom or an office. It's interesting to me because I like to snoop at peoples house.. beware :) but also I want to see how my areas look to others. It kind of reads like a textbook to me.. which may be why its taking me so long to finish it. I tell you what I've read is good. I do wish there were a few more examples of what hes talking about, but for the most part I get the picture. So if you are looking for a different type of book to read, check it out!

New classic read
Well I've read a few books since my last. None seemed adequate for here though. I've just started Bram Stoker's Dracula. I must say I'm excited to see where a lot of vampire moves came from. I tend to navigate away from "scary" books but its a classic and therefore I can't turn it down!
Can you tell I tend to read in groups? All fantasy... All classics. ... What will be next!

a classic
Title: Sons and Lovers
Author: D.H. Lawrence
Genre: ??? its a classic
I'm reading this book because I have a big pile of books to read. It was on top. I bought it several years ago at b&n and never got around to reading it...
I'm maybe a quarter the way through and its different. I mean its a classic.. written in a different time/country so its kinda a difficult read for me, especially since its written how people talk.. so sometimes it takes me a couple tries before I realize what the sentence is. I tend to read books fast so I skim parts and you can't do that with this because of the way its written. I like to shake it up a bit and read things like this. I figure it'll help with a lot of things? Anyway.. check it out if you are looking for something older and a bit challenging..

Throwback Read
When I was a freshman in college I realized I loved to read.. and read I did! Specifically I got into romance/mystery novels. Technically they are romance books... but there is always a mystery in it and I don't like what some people think of them so I say romance/mystery.
Anyway.. the first one I ever read is this The Next Mrs. Blackthorne. It got me hooked!
Title: The Next Mrs. Blackthorne
Author: Joan Johnston
Genre: Romance/Mystery

Joan Johnston is an amazing writer! She has a way of describing her characters and their stories that I get so enthralled everything disappears. I have read basically every book she has written.. that I can find. I look forward to her next book. What I think I love most about her books is how interrelated they are! She does mini-series. So three books are alike.. but the next mini-series is related too somehow.. whether by one character who is a descendant of the last or is a friend of another.. anyway.. I love the depths she has gone to create this world. The Bitter Creek Series is my favorite, but her other ones are great too! So if you have never read a romance novel before.. give it a shot! You might pleasantly surprised.. I was!
Now get to reading!

Ready for a new read?
Game of Thrones!
Book Series Title: A Song of Ice and Fire
Book One: Game of Thrones
Author: George R. R. Martin
Genre: Fantasy
Apparently I'm all about the fantasy lately! I don't know if its the thought of being in another world with crazy magic and crazy creatures or if its the idea of being in another time... such as with this book. Not only are we in a completely different world.. with its own map.. but its in a time when you travel on horseback and fight with swords for a throne thats in a giant stone castle where people actually live. There are ladies and sirs or in this book 'sers' that I'm sure where gorgeous clothes.
This book and I'm assuming the series as well is great. It is slightly different in the writing.. meaning.. each chapter is written from one person's perspective. It can get irritating because I want to know what happens with that person.. but I have to wait to find out! I already have my favorite people and stories.
In case you didn't know.. there is a show on hbo based on the books. I watched both seasons and is the reason I am reading it. Forewarning.. if you've seen the show.. the characters are a tad younger in the book or so it seems.
Great great great writing though and an amazing story!

Ready for a new read??
Oh my goodness! I cannot believe no one ever told me about these before! I am flying through them!!!!
Series Title: A Sookie Stackhouse Novel
First Book Title: Dead Until Dark
Author: Charlaine Harris
Genre: Fantasy/mystery
This series is soo good! I just love to read it! This is the latest book I've bought.. although I haven't started it yet. I think its 7? Anyway.. If you like vampires, steamy scenes, and you have an imagination.. then you would enjoy this!
I haven't heard from anyone who has read it that they don't like it! I can't wait to start the next one!
Thanks to everyone who recommended it to me because I cannot get enough of it!
If you've seen the HBO series True Blood then you should know the books! It is based on the books.. however.. they differ enough to be interesting!

Books!
So I love to read! From time-to-time I will share some of my favorite books.. most likely book series. And here is my first! Not necessarily my favorite but one I'm working on!
Series: The Wheel of Time
Author: Robert Jordan
Book One Title: The Eye of the World
Genre: Fantasy
This is book one of I honestly don't know how many.. more than 10 though! This series I have been reading for several years actually.. and I'm only on book 4. While I really enjoy reading these books.. they have sooo many main characters that it always takes me a bit to remember their storylines.. which can make it difficult to get back into the next book if it has been awhile. However, if you love adventure, magic, fighting, and a bit of a love story... then you will enjoy this series! It is a complicated web of good vs. evil!
Here is the wikipedia on it!
Check it out sometime!!
